Every day, I wake and walk my gratitude out loud.
Rather than sitting in bed, I love to get up, get ready and walk - which according to Robin Sharma, moving in the first 20 minutes of waking releases cortisol, serotonin and dopamine - getting me ready for an awesome day ahead.
"Cortisol, a hormone, and one of the main stress response chemicals produced by the adrenal glands—the other is adrenaline—is responsible for maintaining the health of and proper communication between every cell in your body. When it is in a healthy rhythm, cortisol is highest in the morning to give us energy to get our day started, keep inflammation low, and immune response at its peak." - Mind Body Green
Combined with Gratitude - it makes for an very awesome day ahead.
Initially I started with Vishen Lakiani's 6 Phase Meditation
during my walk, then I progressed to Joe Dispenza's New Potentials Meditation in his book 'Becoming Supernatural'.
Both are really, really good. It just depends on your focus. Of which mine is several new potentials in my life.
I love it!
Since I'm a singer, I also have some compound affirmations (as my friend Simon Bull calls them), or incantations (as Anthony Robbins calls them) that I have turned into song. Compound affirmations or incantations are powerful affirmations that are felt with gratitude, joy, abundance, grace and ease. Literally feeling the phrase as if it is happening NOW.
I've already shared these affirmations with you in past posts.
